Students of color at Haverford and
administrators are at a standstill as a boycott of classes
continues for a second week. The students are demanding firm
commitments to structurally shift the institution and better
support for students of color.
Ah, pleasing memories from the Philly Main Line. One of the
finest lecturers I ever had on Marxism was at Haverford, as a
visiting student in 1982: Lucius Outlaw, a charismatic philosopher
who developed pioneering Africanist perspectives.
