Re: set of Dean Baker recommendations

Michael, I have always loved Dean's work. He gets into the nuts and bolts of how talk of a "free" market is a myth and a diversion. His policy recommendations would truly improve life in the US if enacted and can also serve as insightful exposures of Democratic Party perfidy, BUT WE DON'T HAVE THE POWER TO IMPLEMENT EVEN DEAN'S REFORMS. I know it's a broken record, but Dean's analyses have to be integrated with a strategy for building a movement independent of the Democratic Party leadership. Talk of incremental structural reforms intermediate between socialism and our current situation begs the question of how we get power in the first place. Still, publicizing Dean's work is a public service.
