The new LiteVNA64, which solves the power supply noise problem and significantly reduces the background noise.

We have updated LiteVNA64 to version 0.3.1, redesigned the power supply and IF circuitry to dramatically reduce the background noise and completely solve the interference problem when connecting to an external power supply. This is a comparison graph with RS ZVB8 measuring the same 2.4GHz filter. We have once again set the limits of low-cost VNA measurement performance!

Affected by the current tight supply of chips, and we still want LiteVNA to be an affordable device for enthusiasts and startups, the 0.3.1 version of LiteVNA is currently in tight supply, and the 2.8" is still the 0.3 version, and we are working with our suppliers to get the best device possible to our users.
Thanks again for the community's help with liteVNA development.

Hi Hugen

Congratulation.
Looking forward to test the version 0.3.1 and update the calibration documentation.

Kind regards

Kurt

Hi Hugen.

Is it possible to do the modification on the LiteVNA that I already have? I am very satisfied with it but if it is possible to get it even better that is excellent!

Hello Hugen,

I have been considering obtaining one of these devises for a while.
When do you expect this version to be available for purchase (USA)?

Thank you,
Kevin...

Where I could get it?
My first came with the screen broken, and the second one is no able to keep the calibration.
Any direct link to that version.

Sorry, due to multiple circuit modifications, it is not possible to modify on the current version to get the same effect as the new version.

Is HW version 64-0.3 the latest?

Thanks.

So is this the version with the fixes, or at least a good number of them?

I guess there is no need to upgrade?

Thanks,
David

Hugen,

If I want to purchase one how can I identify the new version of the liteVNA?

I suspect this is un-related, but worth asking.  I've always found my LiteVNA (HW ver. 64.0.3) unacceptable for measuring S21 on low-loss devices, as the noise present in the S21 data is often equal to (or even greater than) insertion loss.  There doesn't appear to be any way on the front panel to directly adjust IFBW, and the little play I made with averaging had limited effect.

While this posted data is way down at the noise floor (-100 dB), would this improvement also improve S21 trace noise in the realm of -0.05 dB?

Thanks!

Display->AVG allow reduce IFBW, this option named AVG due to different IF used in different ranges

Interesting.  I have some questions on this, but will start another thread, to avoid de-railing this thread.

Thanks!

0.3.1 mainly fixes power supply problems and reduces background noise, and the software is compatible with version 0.3.

Thanks, Hugen. Pity there isn't an upgrade or exchange process, as I only
bought mine recently (April 2022).

I just got the LiteVNA 64.0.3.

Whats really the difference between the units? Is the performance slightly better or a lot better. These questions lead to subjective answers. Not good.

Can you show comparisons between the 64.0.3 and 64.0.31 versions using real measurements? e.g. noise floor, S21 on low loss filters etc. Only then we will know if it is a worthy upgrade.

Thanks!

+1, and comprising with joe smith USB cable mod

Eleshop.eu has a batch from July they say, but cannot say if it the 0.3.1. Can you confirm it is 0.3.1, Hugen?
