Why in the world are you using a Signal Link with a 7300 when there’s what you need by simply connecting the USB port? I’ve never seen an easier radio to interface for data in 60 years.

Look on top half of page 2-4 of your manual ( can be found at Icom USA online for free like I just done =) Just connect USB .... set code in FLdigi / FLrig and go =) Linux will take care of the USB co

I'm not sure why you would need a Signalink box with an IC-7300, it already provides the audio path through USB itself. You can save that box for an older rig. 73 de NE4RD Bill

After all these years perhaps I am still a rookie. I discovered that my mic cord wasn't plugged into my Linux machine. It was still plugged into the SignaLink USB. The rig didn't smoke but it did free

Bog, I don’t think you need the SignaLink USB. There is a digital port on the IC7300 that will go straight into your computer, though I use my IC7300 for CW and phone and can’t provide further guidanc

David, Now I am confused hihi! My thought process is based on Windows OS. As far as I know I am using Linux Mint if that is the distrobution you are referring to? No remote access that I am aware of.
