Good morning all,
Google has now released Linux in container for Chromebook (Crostini Debian 9 Stretch), and I have been trying to run some Amateur (Ham) Radio software, in particular WSTJ-X. Crostini is working on, but has yet to enable com ports, however the tty ports appear to be there: [ 0.001000] console [ttyS0] enabled
[ 0.778880] serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4, base_baud = 115200) is a U6_16550A
[ 0.829096] serial8250: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3, base_baud = 115200) is a U6_16550A
[ 0.882288] serial8250: ttyS2 at I/O 0x3e8 (irq = 4, base_baud = 115200) is a U6_16550A
I can't figure out how to enable a ttyS*, access the USB port, and for that matter I can't find them listed in /dev/. If someone could help me enable and configure a tty port and/or get WSTJ-X connected I would greatly appreciate it. I have been trying for over a week and admit I'm no Linux expert, but I really thought I'd be able to install and configure a piece of software, HI.
Thank you, Jay 0.001000] console [ttyS0] enabled [ 0.778880] serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4, base_baud = 115200) is a U6_16550A [ 0.829096] serial8250: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3, base_baud = 115200) is a U6_16550A [ 0.882288] serial8250: ttyS2 at I/O 0x3e8 (irq = 4, base_baud = 115200) is a U6_16550A [ 15.748137] cgroup: "memory" requires setting use_hierarchy to 1 on the root

Re: Creating enhanced audio files for voice keyer?
Chuck Reti WV8A
There is also a danger in over-processing. Highly compressed/EQd speech can often result in the unintended consequence of making simple announcements less, rather than more, intelligible. I dislike hearing overly compressed voice keyer CQs that sound nothing, both in quality and audio level, like the "live" mic voice that delivers the exchange info. If you choose to do this, listen to what you've recorded, on an actual receiver. Too much gain and compression pulls up all room background sound and noise, and over-compression is unpleasant and distracting. Some processing can be beneficial, just don't overdo it.

Re: IC-7000 Control via FLRig and Hamlib for all Digital Modes
My suggestion is to revert to MacOS 10.13.x. Mojave 10.14.1 has
known issues with the Fast Light Tool Kit which is the GUI used in
all of the flxxxx applications. Both flrig and fldigi work on my
test bed 10.14.1, but I build the binaries on the host machine.
Short of that, make sure you have installed the macos dmg for all of
the flxxx applications you intend to use.
I also recommend you install the latest alpha version of flrig. It fixes some issues with the 7000.

seems flwkey does not have the internal lib for building...
