Make sure no fuses are blown. If it "faded" off it might be this. If you aren't experienced in electronics repair, it might be best to let a repair shop tell you if it's the power supply or not. It wasn't an outrageously expensive repair and they also did some maintenance while they had it open. 10 years later and it's still chugging along! No sounds. I opened the synth (very difficult task, though) and replaced the battery I found. MAGIC HAPPENED! The synth was as new! Try it yourself!
