Group dead?

Cosmic Fugue

Hello, is this group dead?

Bye

Hi Cosmic:

Yes it's pretty inactive now compared to the heydays of the 0-series synths. The Korg 01/W first came out 20 years ago. I guess at some point, we are going to run out of things to talk about every day.

Here's a sad thought: at some point in the future, someone will be unknowingly turning off the last living 01/W synth for the last time :).

Anyway right now we are still here (right now we have 123 members), for when anyone needs help with something, has questions, or wants to talk some more about anything related to Korg 0-series synths. I am looking forward to Korg releasing a VST version of the synth.

It's been very occasional for many years ie in its previous form. But generally when someone posts, it is about something significant.

Well - it’s almost 30 years ago since I bought mine. I still use my 01/W pro X regularly and recently got the rack module so I don’t have to drag 55 kg synthesizer (and case) to every gig. Well maintained and serviced every now and then they last forever.

Hi all.  I still have 7 01W synths alive and kicking in my music lab where I teach.  I truly hope there is not a last time for this group!!
Hope all are well and healthy.

Re "The Korg 01/W first came out 20 years ago", my math was 10 years off! That should have been "30 years" :)
