Re: Another D-Rats question

Charlie,

I was successful using D-Rats with my Icom ID-880. Here's my settings. Hopefully they will help.

In the D-Rats configuration under Add a Port.

Name - ic-880
Type - Serial
Serial Port - COM5
Baud Rate - 9600
The IC-880

Frequency 445.731250 minus offset mode DV urcall CQCQCQ

Hopefully you have a good RF path to the repeater.

Re: D-Rats

Thanks Jim, that did it. It even lets you send a Winlink email to a private email.

So Marius Alpha dated 4/20/2020 beats Beta dated 4/21/2020. Alpha is always better than Beta :-)

Nothing to install. Just unzip the file and put it in the C: drive. Then run drats.exe. Windows 10.

Talkgroup on 31426 for EPA with OpenSpot2

Bruce WA3ZPC

Jim (AJ3DI) worked with me today and we were able to use my OpenSpot2 to connect to the 31426 Talkgroup for EPA.

Have to set it up as a dynamic Talkgroup in the OpenSpot2 interface.

Was using one of my Yaesu FT Fusion HTs to interface with the OpenSpot2, which I normally use for the OpenSpot2.

First, we are experimenting with a new DMR Talkgroup for EPA. If you
have a HotSpot, it will be fairly easy to set up, if you're going
through a repeater for DMR it may be somewhat more complicated.

We are going though Brandmeister and using Talkgroup 31426. This is
NOT a named Talkgroup. We must first establish use before we can get a
permanent name assignment. This process takes 60 days and we need your
help. Program this Talkgroup into your Code Plug and call. I'll try to
monitor so someone will answer,

Should we set this up to generate some action/interest/DMRitude/RF?
