Try the following instructions for changing your default reader for PDF files.
Hopefully, they will work for you.

Instructions For Choosing Default Reader For PDF Files
1. Find a PDF file on the system.
2. Press alt+enter for properties.
3. Now shift+tab to the Change button and press it. You will be asked what program you want to use to open PDF files. Tab and there will be a list of proposed programs.
4. Once you are on your preferred program, select it and you should be good to go.

What up bro,
I think I got it. It must be the old age though, as I like Tom’s method better, as the method you sent gave me a headache lol. I got lost twice doing it but just a few moments ago, I was able to accomplish it. I did both methods sent btw, as I wasn’t sure if Tom’s method was in definite. Gosh, I really like the word method don’t I. Good night.

It should work for all PDF’s once you set your preferred PDF reader to be your default reader.
At least, this is what I’ve discovered so far.
My default PDF reader is Adobe Acrobat DC.

I Think that you can install Adobe Reder and in the options when you open that, you can set it to open .PDF files by default.
