Earlier Versions of JAWS and Win 10 1809
Hi. What OS are you using now? I would personally not use any JAWS older than 18 if you are going to be on Windows 10. The reason is that, even though Windows 10 has now been around for a fair while,

I know many sighted people also hate it. Of course, to each their own, but imo it’s a terrible idea to have something start playing at you just because you entered or clicked on an URL.

Need help wiping out a laptop
I'm sure millions of people still have old floppy disks lying around that one day they'd like to access. No media ever really dies, it just kind of fades away.

I'm sure you can still get the drives somewhere, and yes, they would likely be external especially nowadays. I actually have an external 3.5 drive; just not sure it works presently.

Chrome, Explanation as to Why it has so Many Processes Running
Hey. Interesting. This is also what Firefox started doing beginning with version 57, I believe. But it’s possible that Chrome opens more processes.

Almost anything is worth trying. :P But seriously, of course. You’ll probably have a better time than you would with IE. Firefox Quantum (the only firefox still going) and JAWS 2018 still have issues

Thanks. I’m not really the one who wants to do this though. I was a bit curious and just relayed what I could find out in short order.

I noticed the action centre never appeared in the system tray until I upgraded to jAWS 2018, so yes, probably a JAWS thing.

I think you can prevent run from storing a history, but you will have to tweak the registry to do it. I guess even to clear the history you will have to do this. Apparently the history data is in HKEY
