i don't know if this effects jaws or not, but make sure the keyboard has a num lock key too. some dell and hp computer keybords don't have one so you can't turn num lock off.

what version of wlm are you useing. i think some of the shortcut keys were changed. shift control c does open the contact dialog to add new contacts control 3 opens the contact list so you can choose

now i know you are on two jaws lists. grin but the answer is to press the insert, control keys then press the numberpad minus key twice. then jaws will remember the setting until you change it again.

try looking for bone conduction headphones. they don't go in the ear. it sends the sound to your jaw bone.

i don't know where this is but this is a setting in jaws that can be turned off. i had to turn this off last year because none of the so called clickables were clickable at all.

the problem is most of these so called clickables are not clickable at all. i disabled this behavior for jaws. but i don't remember where i found this option.

try checking in the sound card settings again to see if you have the enhancement control tab now and cee if you have the option to turn off all enhancements. i have this with my realtech driver.

this may not be so. my wlm uses the standard windows wave file and if i open the windows sound mixer while wlm is running there is a volume control in the mixer and mine says windows live mail volume
