Links Inquiry
For a mouseover link, press control-numpad enter and the PC cursor key, all at the same time. Listen carefully for what JAWS says after you release the keys.

On a desktop keyboard layout, it's the insert key on the numpad. On a laptop keyboard layout, it's the caps lock. I know it sounds clumsy to call it "Jaws key," but the idea is to cover both situation

Try pressing F5 to refresh the page, then JAWS key+escape, the JAWS command that does something similar. I now need to do both commands in this sequence on many webpages.

Yes. Although it wasn’t there when I arrowed down through the quick settings options, it appeared when I typed “forms” into the search field.

Mike, At the risk of muddying things a little more, I don’t find the “forms mode” options in JAWS quick settings for Chrome. I’m guessing I made the change for Chrome in the main settings center, prob

Dell model number
Thanks to everyone who replied. The old standby, Windows key+pause, didn't bring up the answer. It just has my name as the computer model. I installed Bilarc Advisor, which gave me the basic answer. H

I don’t know about Windows 10, but JAWS still has this option for Windows 10. In the current release of JAWS 2019, go to the settings center, text processing, proofing. Here there are several options.

File counting with JAWS
I use insert-3 all the time. Moreover, I don’t really have the problem any longer. I’m merely acknowledging that the problem is real and that there are solutions, my preferred one being Narrator.
