hmmm, could be using a keyboard with a functionlock key? if so, you might try pressing the funcloc key and then try the f keys again.

I think what Miriam is referring to is the plain numbers below the function keys, with the alt key, to take you to the tab fields above the body of a message.

Latest Jaws 2019, and Misleading Say Font in Word 2016 Office 365

Jim Fettgather

Hello to the list.
When pressing Jaws Key and F, Word 2016, Jaws says the following
12 point
default on default
Times New Roman
Normal style

So, instead of Black on White, or Black on Black, it is saying, Default on Default.
Same thing when pressing Jaws Key and number 5 from top row.

Jaws 2018 however, reports the Say Font expected behavior.
What is happening with this Say Font Command?
Thanks.

I think you are mistaken. In order to set a document to single line spacing, it is control 1, not alt 1 and, likewise, to set a document to double lined spacing it is control 2.

In outlook and Live mail, it either reads or places you in the fields, and it's actually 1 through 6, 6 being the subject field.
Pressing the number twice actually places you in that field.

Latest Jaws update

Larry Volk

I wrote earlier that the latest JAWS2019 update has caused me a lot of problems and trying the JAWS repair didn’t resolve them. But I just tried deleting the default.jcf (default configuration file), rebooted the computer—which brought up the startup manager, reset my settings and now everything is working correctly. I’m not sure why but somehow with that update the default configuration file got corrupted.

Larry
