Re: Jaws Not Reading Outlook Express Messages
Hi Mike, I think it's the latter OE.
He has to have a key to activate it.
We tried various WinAmp states, but we did not try Jaws 16.
Strangely it went away for a short time when switching to 2018,

Re: hotkey for Muting Jaws when listening to an Audio/Watching a Video
Insert/Jaws key + Spacer bar then press the letter S. This is a toggle to turn speech off or on.

Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go dodgers!

Re: Jaws Not Reading Outlook Express Messages
Yes, he has to maximize OE and the messages each time he opens a message, otherwise, Jaws won't read anything.

Re: Jaws Not Reading Outlook Express Messages
I forgot to ask, does he run his OE with the Preview pane showing? There's other settings that could be making problems, but not knowing exactly how he's got it set-up it's hard to just start

Hi,
Typically if Jaws is already running, running Jaws again only brings up the Jaws main window.
Also, you can use many different key combinations to call up Jaws, as long as it does not conflict

What about Narrator? Will it start? You could use that to access the task manager and kill the JAWS process from there.
