I havent’ found any quick toggle options for my HP Pavilion, so I think the BIOS adjustment is in my future. At work, I am on HP laptops and the FN key is not required, so there may be a difference

Most of the HP laptops I’ve seen in many years are set this way. I know dell does it as well, but with dell laptops you can toggle the function key setting by holding the FN key and pressing escape.

When did HP do that? I had an HP pc and that wasn’t the case. I did, however, use a regular keyboard pluged into the labpto, though. There is no way I’d be holding the function key everytime I
