It sounds like maybe you just tabbed through instead of reading what was in the box.
Hitting tab key will just take you to checkboxes for file attributes. It doesn’t actually get the screen-reader

I usually just use the jaws cursor; it seems quick. Routing isn’t necessary. Just hit numpad-minus – my cursor is usually at the top of the box, and reading down a few lines shows all the

I would advise going to Jaws 2019. I have no issue with Firefox latest version and Jaws 2019 from January.

But those are updates, not upgrades. Updates are version 16.1 16.2 etc and upgrades are version 16 to version 19

from within outlook do JAWS key which is the insert key plus control and v.
If you are on a laptop your JAWS key might be caps lock.
The version number you have should be over 1600 for Office
