I asked Vispero tech support about this. Their response is that there is no portable version of JAWS. they gave me some technical reasons why, but I don't remember what they were.

Leonard, the “recent” button is not a checkbox. This is probably obvious in light of Rebecca’s very useful explanation, but I mention it just in case.

Close the current tab with control-w, as Glenn says, or control-F4. Close all tabs with alt-F4. The difference from IE is that Chrome gives no warning on pressing alt-F4 that you’re about to shut

Firefox Rapid Release vs ESR
Found this on a search- Are you really unable to do the things listed if you change to the Rapid Release version? I don’t want to give up selecting my homepage and search engine.

I don't recall if Chrome opens up different tabs, but I close Chrome pages with control + W.
I think that if there are different tabs, that this will only close the tab you are in at the

Does google chrome have a setting like in internet explorer that when you exit the browser you get the option of closing the current tab or all tabs?

I can not uncheck the recent button at startup with any of the Jaws 2019 options including spacebar, route jaws to PC and left mouse, click, or the enter key. This is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

My organisation uses Visio a lot and from an end user perspective, I cannot access this format using a screen reader so I would suggest that it is one of those things that just isn’t

Well, it would have helped if it had said somewhere that we were in protected view! LOL. Then we would have known what to look for in the menu, as we do in MS Word. Everything works beautifully

I tried it out and its perfect now! All the files I have that once read before are reading now with JAWS.
