Instead of closing jaws, you might simply consider pressing jawskey-space and place your mode on “speech on demand”, this will probably silence jaws and will not be

Simpler to just use the JAWS layered command to mute speech temporarily. Insert+spacebar, then the letter s.

My favorite way to insert basic round filled bullets is to press Control Shift L. You can do this at the start of your first line of bulleted test or anywhere on the line of text. You can also type

Not sure if you can use the classic Windows Backup and Restore programme for exteranl drives – but I wouldn’t be surprised.
