What version of word? Is it office 365 2019 2016 2013 or other version?

You have to set the control options in the record tab to record “Unbounded”. This will allow the recording to keep going until you stop it manually. Victor

I’m still learning it also, just started. Do you know how to get it to record more than 30 seconds? Even when I type in 3 minutes in the new audio file, it stops on it’s own in 30 seconds.
