This is very useful Mike and very comprehensive. It explains all my issues. Just one thing. I will usually wish to convert from .mp3 to .wav or .flac, so, how can I find recommended encoder settings

Re: Turning off narrator
When I boot up the computer
narrator doubles with jaws and
when I shut down the computer
narrator doubles with jaws.
So far I have only heard
narrator with bootup and
shutdown.

Hi Fred,
Try the keystroke, Control, Windows key + Enter. This keystroke is a toggle so it'll turn Narrator on & off.
Take Care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

Turning off narrator
I am using W 10, jaws 2019 and
chrome browser and can not
find way to turn off narrator.
About 10 days ago I had a
computer crash that took out
everything pretty much except
some files and folders.

Hi.
Rather than hitting backspace over and over again, why not just hit ctrl-a
to select the entire field, and hit the delete key? That will clear
everything.
