JAWS is indicating the phonetic pronunciation of the letter when you move to it and pause. You can adjust these settings in: Insert+6 for configuration manager, Text Processing, General, Phonetic

Not sure why you can't import contacts, were you using the Outlook Express put out by Rafael at http://www.runasxp.com?

MoneyTalks from APH. It works well with Jaws, and is also self-voicing. You can import you bank statements into it for balancing.

Sherri, Try pressing ctrl + shift + 8 to toggle off the display paragraph marks setting. Hopefully this will also take care of the spaces being displayed. I'm not sure which versions of Word this
