Sorry for sounding like a broken record, but I honestly can’t understand why you guys don’t just press insert-pgdn. Does it not work for you as it does on my machine?

I can’t seem to get this process to work, though, when in a sub-folder view within one of my major folders.
Just to be sure, do I invoke the Alt V followed by L and the enter sequence

Yes, fair enough, I didn’t mean to sound impatient, it’s just that I don’t really see how activating another screen reader is a reasonable solution when there are two other great options

Re: File counting with JAWS
Why not just check the status line like I suggested?
Your file count should be there, reported accurately by windows, not JAWS, which – ok, I don’t know how it gets the information re. list

Adrian:
Thanks for confirming this Jaws flaw regarding accurate file counting.
I have noticed it especially with Windows 10 and Jaws 2019.
I’ll try the Narrator option.

Re: Using A Scanner
Under advanced there is a place to select the scanning device.
If Windows sees your scanner it should be in the list to choose from. If more than one is listed, try each until one works.

Looks interesting, I am just going to start exploring it.
Are there any needed changes to make it work well with Jaws?

Well yes,s ame here. If I want one, I would rather get it from windows itself using the folder properties box. I’d trust Windows to keep better track of this stuff than I would a screen-reader.
