I probably accidentally enabled some setting in Outlook 2019, but now Outlook is giving off all kinds of sounds when I delete a message, move to a new nmessage, etc. It’s annoying. I went in and play a sound in the Outlook settings, but that didn’t help. Please help me get rid of these annoying sounds!

Thanks.

Hi LeDon,
This is a perfect example of why the Jaws cursor is helpful.
Although insert + B might tell you what you want in the about window, it
will read it all at once.
But if you route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor, you can read the
information in the about window, which will also tell you it's checking for
updates and what version you currently are using.

So, what is this program?

Sent: Thursday, April 25, 2019 7:09 PM
To: Jaws-Users-List
Subject: [jaws-users] Stascom, New and Final Version Released

Hi All,

You can read more about the program using the link below.  Supported operating systems and download instructions are below the URL.

A new and final version of Stascom has been released, version 2019.4.

Operating system support

Stascom will run on Windows 7 and 10, both 32 and 64 bit architectures. As support for Windows 7 will be discontinued in January 2020, Windows 10 is recommended
from a security perspective.

Downloading and installing the program

Should you read this after downloading and installing Stascom 2019.4, feel free to skip to the next heading.

The following caveats apply to downloading and installing the program.

list of 5 items
• There is no need to remove an older version of the program before installing version 2019.4. The setup program will close the previous version and replace
it with the latest update.
• Depending on the local security policy on the user's system, Windows 7 and 10 may report that the origin of the file, "Stascom_setup.exe," is unknown.
This is normal for any program that does not have a signed certificate. As Stascom is a free program and not sponsored by any means, it does not warrent
the expense of such a certificate.
• When using Internet Explorer browser to download the setup program, Smart Screen Filter may inform the user that the program has not been signed by the
developer. Refer to the explanation above.
• When receiving these warning messages, simply instruct Windows to continue with the download or installation. The same holds true for the second part
of the installation where initialisation is done for first run of the program.
• Users might be greeted with silence from their screen readers in these scenarios when another message from Windows is presented. Pressing tab or shift+tab
will echo the following message from Windows:
Windows protected your PC. Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk. More info. Don’t
run.
This is normal for any program that does not have a signed certificate. Enter on "more info" and then on "run anyway." Stascom has been tested extensively
on various systems, so the user may continue with confidence at this point.
list end

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Dodgers!
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Hot dog! Steve you have put magic in my fingers and I have discovered out
that my version of Chrome is, Google Chrome Version 74.0.3729.108! I assume
that that is the latest. So, now let me think, when this thread started the
object of having the updated Chrome was now we would be able to copy things
with their HTTP attributes. Do I have to do anything different to copy? And
what if I don't want the attributes? How do I strip that out and end up with
just text?

Hi,
Here's Eric's message about the Chrome update.

All,

In the March update of JAWS, there were changes made to prepare for
the release of Chrome build 74 and higher. If you have Chrome
installed, and go to the about box, you should get that update
installed now. Here is what was posted in the release notes and I
think a great reason to move to Chrome if you have not already.
Improvements With Selecting and Copying Content in Chrome After
working closely with developers at Google, we are pleased to announce
that starting with Chrome version 74.0.3717, an update scheduled for
release by April 2019, selecting and copying text using the keyboard
will now include the HTML markup as we have done in Internet Explorer
for years. The functionality is included for all users of JAWS and
Fusion 2019, providing the ability to copy live links, lists of
items, and even tables from the Chrome browser and pasting them into
Email messages or Documents without losing the formatting.
Regards,
Eric

*** The next JAWS monthly update should be out by the end of April.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Dodgers!

Hi Pastor Gill, groups.I0 is very screen reader friendly. I will tell you, it is very easy to update your email address to the website. I've done it with GFW and I've done it with voiceover. First start out by doing to www.groups.I oh then go to where it says login hit-and-run login, then tell them to you hear something that says email me a login link. Hit enter on email me a login link. Insert the email address that you're currently using. It will email you a login link. Then click on your name which will bringing to your profile. Then once you click on your name, go to the of your profile. Then Aaron down until you find your email address. Delete the old one and insert the new email address. And then I think it says saver confirm after that. Then you will receive a confirmed email that you can just reply to two the new email address. Then after that all of your group email will start coming to the new email address. If you would like my help with this, I don't mind helping you over the telephone.
