Hello, I have been using jaws 2018 and office 2016, when I open outlook messages, in version 2016, the2018 version reads the message when I open it, or even when move to the next message. I'm alternating between the 2 versions of jaws, and the 2019 version does not read the messages in outlook when you open them. So from my understanding is they should behave the same way, has any one else had this experience? I'm not sure what to try when one version does what you want, but the newer version of a program cannot do the same? I have made sure to maximize the window.
Thanks for any tips!

It is so frustrating. I can’t get past the capture on some sites. If I check the box it then says something about the website not allowing me to go any further. It might be because I am using internet explorer.

What is the solution to the "I'm not a robot" captcha?
Checking and unchecking the box is never clear, and once it's checked, little store fronts pop up that you need to check. Any way JAWS can handle these?
Thanks.

Hi,
First, make sure you start jaws 2018 from the desktop and not another version.
Press insert + J for the jaws option menu ,press enter on option.
select the basic menu press enter and use the tab key to move, where you hear start jaws automatically ... press enter. Here you can set the jaws 2018 to start at start up and the jaws 2019 beta to start only when you open it from the desktopFor example,
Start jaws at start up - always. ( Use your up/down arrow to select.)
Start jaws for all users checkbox not checked.
Start jaws for this user always.
OK button press spacebar.

Joanne, the message columns can be rearranged and resized with a mouse. You can also enable/disable various column data. The easiest way is to get sighted assistance. It need only be done once. No Thunderbird update has ever messed up my settings in this regard.

For instance, I like to use the unified inbox setting so I've enabled the account column to indicate which account the message arrived in. When I press the delete key on an open message, the next message is automatically opened for me. I can't remember if I needed to change a setting anywhere to get this behavior, but it works for me. BTW, you can also close a message by hitting the escape key. You can also toggle the read/unread status of a message by hitting the letter M. Hope this helps. Jeff

Re: Bit Inquiry
Mike B. <mike9902@...>
Hi Jerry,
To go a little further as to what Glenn said. If you
have both, Program Files and Program Files (x86), folders on the root of your C
drive this mens you are running a 64 bit system. The Program Files are the
64 bit programs are installed to and the Program Files (x86) folder is where the
32 bit programs are installed.
Take care. Go Rams! Sent from my iBarstool. The probability of someone watching you is proportional to the stupidity of your action.

If you want to know if it is a 32 bit system, look
in the C:\ folder and if there is only a Program Files folder, and not a program
files (x86) folder, then it is a 32 bit operating system.

Using Jaws 2019 and windows 7, I've been kind of experimenting with Thunderbird and there are things I'm not really liking. For one thing, is it possible, using jaws, to get the message headers to say the sender's name first and then subject, etc. There isn't a sort columns option so just wondered if it could still be done.
Also, with windows live mail you could open a message and read it and hit delete and you were on the next message. Can Thunderbird be set somehow to achieve this, or do you just have to close each message with control f4 and open a new one that way? Thanks.
