Re: Cursor Location In Word

Glenn, A two-part answer, the first of which I know is true. Press alt-delete to determine how many inches you’re in from the left edge. That’s assuming you have MS word to measure in inches. Here’s where I think I’m right, but I haven’t Googled to confirm. I believe ten spaces equals one inch. If both parts are true, four inches from the left would give you your forty spaces.

Hi, Using Jaws 2018, and MS Word 2000. But I think the command would be the same regardless of Word version. I need a way to read where I am in a document so I can tell if three lines are all approximately 40 spaces in from the left edge. Thanks

Re: turning of table header info temporarily or permanently
Stephen Bennett <sbennett5252@...>
Hi Robin
For the announcing of column and row numbers, look in quick settings for Cell coordinates Announcement For column and row titles, The setting you want is in Quick Settings and it's called "Override Bookmark Headers". Once you turn this on the other options become available below it. You can adjust this for either all files or the current file.
hope this helps.

When I am editing tables in Word, I am often more confused by the way JAWS reads the row and column label information by default. What setting do I need to turn this off so JAWS only reads cell contents? I just looked in Quick Settings and the three available options for tables did not seem appropriate.

Hope everyone is doing well today. A couple of years back Freedom did a webinar on google docs and sheets. Are there any more updated tutorials that cover Google docs and Sheets that are out there either via audio or text based as JAWS works a lot better with them today. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
