Re: Allowing jaws to make changes to my computer

And triggering it is as simple as pressing either AltN or AltY. I don't
think it is our place here to advice people on the merits of turning this
thing off. We can make that decision on our own once we know what does.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't recommend turning it off either, since it
notifies you if anything is about to be installed onto your computer. In
other words, it's a nice safe-guard in my opinion, and you can always say
"no" if you don't want the particular item to be installed.

You are talking about user account control. It's not jaws asking you that,
it's windows. You can disable it under user account settings, although I
have gotten use to it over the years and really don't recommend turning it
off.

Subject: [jaws-users] Allowing jaws to make changes to my computer

I am using W 10 and jaws 2019 and I would like to know how to turn off the
jaws feature asking if I want to allow jaws to make changes to my computer.
When doing updates, installations etc jaws ask if I want to allow changes to
my computer by using the yes or no button. This is not the exact wording
but close enough I think for understanding what I am speaking of. I have
turned it off before but I can not remember how I did it. Just a nuisance
that I would like to get rid of. Thanks for any help.
