Actually, I've always had an over seas support person from the Microsoft
disability desk, and have always been satisfied.

I've had a number of experiences with so called "overseas" Microsoft help
people & they have always been very patient & helpful. I've had my issues
resolved every time.

I am using: Jaws 19 With one of the Prime Voices. I have Windows ten latest
and use this Microsoft Outlook, complete package. That would be e-mail and
Word. I remember, just don't know what they did, That in Purchasing this
program, Microsoft Help desk, said there was a change that needed to be made
in Word to work with Jaws. I wish, I could remember, yet this Old Fart,
doesn't. So, why not a chat with and make sure you get the American, not
overseas, Microsoft help. Overseas, wants to get in and then right out. Yet
if you ask them they should be easily to go into word and make the
adjustment. I just know they went to the ribbons, just don't remember where.
Then, again got a lot of smart Fellers and gals here, so maybe..
As I don't have any of the issues you all are talking about either with Mail
or Word itself Gene/Geno Happy Holiday...

I already indicated that others have had my problem.

This is why I'm reluctant to call Jaws Tech support, because the issue
apparently is not just unique to me.

I also find that Jaws 2019does not always read well when I'm composing
Outlook e-mails and Word documents.

Sometimes, Jaws skips lines, or repeats the same line.

I filed a formal report to FS about this. They said they couldn't help me
directly, and asked me to call FS Tech Support for help.

I simply haven't gotten to call them yet, because I'm now totally involved
in setting up a new Windows 10 computer.

Ann, I've just posted a reply to Mike rogers that is what I'd also say to
you. I find this kind of problem, especially in Word 2016, extremely
disruptive.

Sometimes, certainly not always, when I open a document or enter a new
screen, JAWS says 'blank, blank, blank" as I arrow down. I cannot select
the text on the screen. Both Narrator and NVDA will read the text, but
until I unload/reload JAWS, nada. Is this a problem for anyone else? Is
there a setting to change. It has happened with Firefox, with Research It,
with Word. But only intermittently, and I do know how to work around it.
Is there a way to prevent this not very interesting event?
