Replacement fuel hoses

Hello all, thought I'd already posted this but apparently not. Since OEM fuel hoses are NLA from Mother Honda, I snooped around and found some suitable subs for all but the u-bend. The two from the petcock to the carbs have a smaller inside diameter than the proper PC items, but they work. BMW makes a u-bend for their 1100 boxers that might work, but pretty pricey just to see if it will work. Here's pics of what I purchased:

I got these from servicehonda.com in Illinois. Better prices, good comms, cheaper shipping than most.

Excellent digging, thank you!

Do I see it correctly that the 16955-MEG-000 tube is a good replacement for part # 16951-MR5-000 (tank to fuel filter tube)?

Thanks,
Stefan

Yes they do. First pic is original:

And here's the MEG-000 replacement cut to size:

That's a BMW 13-15 hose clamp on the left end.

Thanks for the very clear pictures.
Looks like a perfect fit!

Glad to help. I’m still looking for a replacement for the u-shaped hose that won’t break the bank. I just got a 94 PC that needs hoses so the hunt continues.

I don’t know if you consider this too expensive  but it looks to be the right size?…

Ordered the Sidewinder hose, I'll let everyone know how it works out. FYI, the BMW hose I was considering is around $60, so $20 for this is much better.

Just replaced mine with the other Honda one.
Glad I did, the old one just ripped open when I was trying to remove it (yep, more gas spill than expected...)
It was pretty stiff already and not much flexibility left.

This is interesting, some seller on ebay selling the sidewinder  5/16"  fuel hose also shows a repair for the PC800 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/163179104535) - but for the tank-to-filter part.
So, with one sidewinder fuel hose you should be able to replace both pieces, making the Sidewinder not that expensive anymore ($17.95 + $4.20 shipping):

Great find, Stefan. Now if we could find replacement carburetor insulators...

stefan_grotegut

Douglas mentioned earlier that maybe some insulators from another bike would work (forget which one).
At least one member had good experience with those.
Alternatively, we still have the wintergreen oil pressure cooking option....

Edited

I'm new to the PC so haven't heard of either of those. I took the insulators off yesterday and they just split apart. Bought some on ebay but won't know the condition till they arrive.

K&L carb insulators for the VT1100 work great. K&L Supply Carburetor Boots 11-4878 are the correct ones, as noted elsewhere on this forum.
