NEW ICOM METER with CI-V for 16 ICOM radios
Hello guys, as some of you are aware I have a small lab where I work on Ham Radio devices and have been doing a lot of work around CI-V devices and hubs.
Well after many months of work, I am introducing this week my ICOM Meter this meter was originally based on the work done and published in QST that I modified as shown in Dayton to adapt my new VE2DX CT17B-Micro Internal RF Filtered 3 Ports CI-V Ports. My new meter supports 15 Icom radios via CI-V and 1 via BT (705), and will link Bluetooth and Cabled devices like radios or OEM CI-V devices.
one of the new features is that S-Meter is always selected and when you transmit you can select ALC, SWR or Power.
Also, the Bluetooth link can be used to connect your computer or cellphone to your CI-V devices and radio for use with software like HRD.
Please drop in to take a look at WWW.VE2DX.COM--

That's excellent! Does it show SWR when transmitting on 2 meter / 70 cm from an IC7000?

I notice the IC-756pro2 is missing from the line up but the pro and pro3 is there....

Affraid not Larry, the 756ProII is missing a couple of important CI-V commands that really was hurting us when trying to included them, we went as far as we could looking into 30 different ICOM radios and were able to make it work in 16 of them, we are now looking into ICOM receivers.

still doing beta tests, need to find a 7000, let recheck some of the ci-v commands to verify... I will add this to 7000, 746, 9700, etc...

My understanding was that it still had a swr checker but didn’t display it. It limits transmit power when high swr is found on VHF and UHF correct?

The IC-7000 doesn't have an SWR detector for 2m, 70 cm bands, so a meter that only reads ci-v data from the radio won't display VHF/UHF SWR, only HF.

We are still beta testing before final release will look carefully into that on this and other radios like 746pro, etc...

Without looking back in this thread, is the IC-9100 included in what the NEW ICOM METER will work with?

Jadief, yes, and I need a beta tester for 9100 please send me email, can't give it away but will give you more than fair price to beta test it, fix any issues and refund if not working... ve2dx at hotmail dot com

Bit more relevant in newer radios with bandscope to free up screen of the radio..
