Thanks to all for your answers.
I have the ACC connector supplied with the IC7000, so I will try with that. I shouldn't have any mic issues because I have to decode a digital signal in reception only. 73 Enrico, IZ2NXF

Headphone would be less amplitude. I use audio from the data port to a signaLink USB.

if you are going to use RTTY on a PC, just don't use the RTTY setting but the normal SSB setting. The 7000 only decodes 45,45 with 170 Hz shift. At least I could not get any other results. ICOM did not finish their job, as often. OE8UWW

If you use the ACC socket, it does not turn off the mic when you transmit.I made a small adapter cable and can use either ACC or DATA. And the mic I use (Astatic) has a built in amplifier with switch. I do not use the ICOM mic because it is dull. Forgot to mention that. The ICOM mic can be modded to sound better. How are you trying to decode with a speaker? There are several smartphone apps to decode morse, RTTY and SSTV etc. directly from the speaker. OE8UWW

If you use the ACC socket, it does not turn off the mic when you transmit. You can have ambient noise / voice transmit with the digital. I switched to the 6-pin DIN. How are you trying to decode with a speaker? J Tregre, KD8M, on behalf of Her Imperial Majesty, Mystic, Kitty

In the RTTY mode, the TRX will itself decode the stuff on the display and have peaked filters on the mark and space.

Hi, everybodyThe audio fom the ACC socket is much better and is independent of the audio volume potentiometer on the receiver. Interfaces are available on the market. http://www.westmountainradio.com/rigblaster.php http://www.wimo.com/yaesu-scu-17-interface_e.html OE8UWW

Hi, everybody
I am trying to decode some digital signals with no success. I connected the rear speaker output to my PC but the signal seems to be too much filtered and the software is not able to decode it. So, I need a less filtered audio output . Is RTTY mode ok for this? What socket have I to use? The ACC socket or the RTTY output? Thank you. Enrico, IZ2NXF
