So the whole AM modulation issue is unresolved?
Among many other reasons, even ultra narrow band FM takes up too much spectrum space. 73 - Mac, K2GKK/5 Since 30 Nov 1953 Oklahoma City, OK USAF (Retired) 61-81 FAA (Retired) 94-10

FM greatly reduces noise on received signals. However there is a factor called "capture effect" with FM where the strongest signal will "capture" a receiver almost totally. As Dallas noted, if there a

So the whole AM modulation issue is unresolved?
What, exactly, is the ISSUE? Virtually all current SSB/CW rigs specify that AM carrier should be set at approximately 1/4 of the SSB PEP rating. 100% AM modulation of a 25 Watt carrier develops 100 Wa

I am not familiar with the ATAS-100 antenna. Is it a version of a "screwdriver" antenna? If so, the TurboTuner-2 should work just fine with the IC-7000. I just bought one to use with my IC-706 Mk II.

I am reasonably sure that DX Engineering also carries it or at least a substitute. You can also get it from Mosley antennas as they specify it for their antennas. 73 de Mac, K2GKK/5 Since 30 Nov 1953

Heh, heh! Yep, but an IC-7000 is an awfully expensive FM broadcast receiver! 😉 I never use the 7000 for 2m/70cm. That's what my 2710, 2720, and 2730 are for! It's going to be interesting to learn what
