[IC-7000] Molex connector
The IC-7000 is already notorious for loss of DC voltage at the twin fused-connectors. Unless those connectors are replaced the addition of 12-volt fans will only add to that issue. jd, K1TLV

The chassis of my 7000 is grounded to the vehicle w/1/2" braid. It's interesting that the one in your set was, apparently, cross-threaded. I'd use any of the chassis-screws available.
