I am very sad at this moment! I just saw smoke coming out of my icom IC-7000, now I have no HF radio in my mobile. I'd have to ship it back to the U.S. to have it repaired and shipped back to Jamaica

In 2012 the FCC changed channel allocations for Amateur Radio use of 60M, removing 5366.5 KHz and adding 5357.0 KHz.

I was confused as well. I've been using 60m SSB and PSK for a few months. I just put the channels in memory and have had no issues transmitting.

Just remove D2172 per the instructions. The diagram in the 60M mod document shows parts that aren't really installed in US versions. You'll be fine.

Try sending it to Matt at Icom in Michigan. Here is their website http://sarts1.com. Excellent repair work and customer service. Far better than Icom in Kalifornia.

Did that, the oscillation increases considerably. The agc is pulling up some amplifier. Conversely, when connected to an antenna, activating the preamp the intensity of the oscillation decreases.
