Re: [IC-7000] Re: Icom 7000 phenomenon
I got the impression it was from the loud signals in the NCCC on CW, which
would show a poor 3rd order IMD. Is that possible with this rig? I keep
seeing what a great receiver it is supposed to

Sent from Ron's iPhone. Rick,
This not at all uncommon. I work 7255 kHz often for the net. It shuts down at 1500 hrs because of the foreign broadcasts.

Icom 7000 phenomenon
A couple of years ago I had a chance to use an Icom 7000 for a little while, and I experienced something I really haven't seen with another rig, wonder if anyone has had a similar problem with a 7000.

It's the PC's clock that is important, not the rigs. Think of all the
operators running JT65 that have rigs with NO clock. You need reasonable
frequency calibration and low drift in the rigs VFO but

It's the PC's clock running JT-65 that must be sync'd. The radio's clock is
important or used for JT-65 sync.
