not sure if MFJ quality control has improved. I got the 7K and the mfj-993B at the same time. Hooked to a 20 meter dipole in the attic. power up, push the tune button...... nothing. played with

The first few digits of the serial # indicate what country model it is. The last digits are just sequential numbers off the line it seems. For some checkpoints, see the thread starting

Icom have lots of conditions for their Australian 5 year warranty period. like, they must have received the 5 year warranty registration form. By law I'm not sure that they can reject to repair your

I am beyond the problem now... Probably not worth fixing and the word is out in Asia a new radio soon to introduced. A 7000 with a full time band scope instead of the VHF,UHF capability...

I get good results with the LDG IT-100 tuner. I get excellent matches on 40 - 10,good matches on 80, and good matches (but with retuning as I move in the band) on 6 with my G5RV antenna.
