Re: [IC-7000] mobile install - time to give up
Borrow a spectrum analyzer to see what i s going on with respect to RF being radiated from the car's electronics.
No shielded wiring on a vehicle's interconnecting cables is the normal state

This might seem like a silly question, but, did you check the fuses? I had that problem once.....

My radio just died
Hello to the group,
My radio just went off by it self and wont turn back on, does anyone know how to fix this problem or a good repair facility in the US?
Doesn't smell like a component failure, but

Re: [IC-7000] ic-7000 - at-180 problem
I prefer the AH-4. I have used it loops and OCF dipoles fed with and without ladder line from the AH-4 feeds. I have one that I have 75' control cable and Belden 8267.
I have 2 of these, and for ops

Re: ic-7000 - at-180 problem
Where did you get the cable that connects the at-180 with the 7000? I have a set w/o this cable. I saw it was almost $100 from ICOM. Thanks

I tried this out and it seems to work OK but I have some questions about and been trying to find the wesite. The site that comes up both with google and here in the archives no joy.

Turn down your MONITOR LEVEL. That's what fixed it for me (IC7K w/ LDG AT-100 Pro).

Re: [IC-7000] ic-7000 - at-180 problem
Fred,
I'm guessing your G5RV has a SWR of > 3:1
The AT-180 won't cut it.
Just the facts.

Re: [IC-7000] ic-7000 - at-180 problem
Is it possible that the coax between the 7000 and tuner is bad? A
high SWR at the rig could indicate a bad connection between the tuner
and rig. Just a thought...

Re: [IC-7000] ic-7000 - at-180 problem
Get rid of the 180 and get an SGC Tuner. Icom's Tuners leave alot to be
desired.. My Opinion of Course!
