Yes.

USB to CIV converter - many on ebay.  This will provide rig control and TR switching.  Setup your software PTT control via CAT.  < $25

13 pin DIN to 3.5 mm audio cable - available from Hamdaptor, again on ebay < $15

USB sound card (dongle) - available from many places, < $15

WSJTX software - download for free; get on groups.io WSJTX mail list, great place for support.

I use this setup with my ASUS windows 10 laptop.  It works very well.

I have about $50 invested in this setup.  You could do it cheaper if you try.  There are also many other approaches, many of which will work well.  Some are a lot more expensive.  Each approach has its tradeoffs.

You will have a learning curve to get everything coordinated, but that's the point. You will learn what to do!

I have no financial interest in anything I've mentioned here.

Good luck,

Robie - AJ4F

Oggetto: [ic7000] Share my driver board PCB file (KiCAD + Gerber)

I recently fixed an IC-7000 with seriously burned driver. Due to lack of the outdated parts from ICOM support, I created the PCB and uploaded the files to github and oshpark, hope this may help who want's to fix the module themselfs.

https://github.com/sgub/ic7k-driver-pcb
https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/nPS2hozq

I reduced the pin spacing from 1.5mm to 1.27mm, for better availability of parts and easier mating with the PA board, and added a footprint for the resistor to suppress self oscillation.

While I (thankfully) don't need this at the moment, I want to thank you for putting this on GitHub - essentially in the public domain.  Creating a PWB is big step for a lot of people and you've just saved some unknowable number of people that effort.

Re: UHF pa problems??

Luc

Tks Pasquale for info..

The other problem is...there is always 14v (not the 14v line  for the pa Tr's) buth the 14v line "after" the relais!!
by the first start up of the day..everything is ok..
Wen i go back in standby..power of..the 14v line after the relais...normaly noth possibel!! stay high
@ the q700 i have 0v by off and 3.3v by onn that normal..(cpu command onn and off)
buth even in possition off its like of the relais is closed...i have already tested the relais and he works fine..open and closed normaly...
If i pull the 5A fuse out than the 14v line after the relais is gone...so the 14v is not there via the 14v PA's line...

Sound as PA Mosfet failure

Try to change RD60HUF1 UHF final and you should fix this issue.

I have two of the mics, both with faulty cables.  I bought four on Amazon, two replacements and two spares.  They seem to be holding up well.

HRO(Ham Radio Outlet) has a Yaesu CT-39 cable with a 6-pin mini on one end and bare wires on the other end at $9.95 US.

AMAZON has a Yaesu CT-39A cable with a 6-pin mini on one end and bare wires on the other end at $17.88 US, and a good selection of DB-9 connectors, male and female, solder types and breakout types, at seemingly reasonable prices.

Shipping across the US/Canada border will, I am sure, add some other fees/taxes.

Hope this helps.
