The IC7000 has a good DSP in it. The only short coming is white noise.
As you lower the white noise you increase distortion.
The only DSP that I know does a Fair-good job of lowering the white noise and minimally distorting is the BHI [from England bought through Gap Ant] DSP.
Do any of the newer radios , Icom or otherwise, do a good job decreasing white noise and keeping audio quality like the BHI DSP units -- ie) they have come up with a DSP algorithm to match or exceed the BHI unit built into their radio?
