Hi ! Steve,

Thank you very much for your valuable information regard to the R2011 working on a real situation, and this really make and help my IC-7000 avoid with failed again due to I may using a wrong spec of watt of R2011. Thanks!

Best regards,

Peter

Peter,

I took measurements of that circuit in 2011.  Here's info on R2011:

1. R2011 (4.7 ohm 1812 case size) power dissipation was 0.50 watts, with a
voltage drop of 1.54 VDC (0.33 amps). Its case temp was about 72 C. The
resistor is rated at 0.75 watt Pd at 70 C, derating to about 0.5 watts Pd at 100
C.

I wouldn't use anything less than a 0.75 watt resistor for R2011.

Hello ,

Would like to confirm if the R2011 ( the original one is 4.7 ohm /0.75 watt SMD type ) can be replace by a general one of  4.7 ohm /0.25 watt ( by according to the PDF file had talking about ). Thanks !

Best regards,

Peter
