Can I hook the relay switch up directly of a Heathkit amp [HL2200] to an Icom 725 radio or do I need to install a soft key mod in the HL2200 ?

I think I can do it directly but wanted to ask before I made the connection .

Since this is not an IC -7000 question please answer me directly as I do not want to start a thread about this.
