I asked that question several years ago and there was NO way to do that.

It would  have been a good idea.

Is there a way (when you are in memory mode) to initiate scanning from the hm-151?  I have been able to step manually through the channels as you describe but never figured out how to initiate scanning in memory mode.  The F1 & F2 do not have a scan function that can be assigned (that I could find anyway).

You need to be in memory mode not vfo.

Press the vfo/mem button on the mic or radio and the " ^ " and down will scroll through your stored frequencies

Band up and down can be used via the ^ and down arrows to the left of the vfo on the rig or press the corresponding band
indicators on the mic.

I don't see how the mic button can maneuver through the memory bands and channels.   I have to see if the F1 and F2 can be programmed for that.  Has anyone got a recommendation there?
