Upcoming Book on Humor & the Bible

Jake Myers

Hi, All,

A new book on humor and the Bible is coming out in July. It’s written by a Hebrew Bible scholar and Lutheran pastor—they are brothers. Check it out, if you’re interested.

Hi Jake,
Thanks for the heads up about Divine Laughter. There’s been quite a bit of activity lately around the topic of scriptural humor and, more broadly, Christianity and comedy. This latest book reminds me of Anthony Petrotta’s God at the Improv: Humor and the Holy in Scripture. If this keeps up, then churches may begin to fill up again soon…
😇

Best,

Bernard
