MSUS (Mass Storage Unit Specifier)

Gene asked on the HP Museum message board about downloading the
Owner's Manual, so he could remember how to access disks and tapes.
Briefly:

You can set the default mass storage unit with:
MASS STORAGE IS ":T"
MASS STORAGE IS ":D700"
MASS STORAGE IS ":D701"
MASS STORAGE IS ".GAMES"
where ":T" points it at the Tape drive, ":D700" points it at the first
disk drive unit, ":D701" at the second, and ".GAMES" (or ".whatever")
searches the disk drives for a disk with the volume label "GAMES" (or
"whatever") and sets the default MSUS to that drive.

You can then do a catalog of the MSUS with:
CAT
CAT ":T"
CAT ":D700"
CAT ".GAMES"
etc

You can load a BASIC program with:
LOAD "FATCAT"
LOAD "FATCAT:T"
LOAD "FATCAT:D700"
LOAD "FATCAT.GAMES2"

You can load a BINARY program with:
LOADBIN "filespec" (see LOAD above)

You can store a BASIC or BINARY program with:
STORE "filespec"
STOREBIN "filespec"

You can copy a file with:
COPY "source filespec" TO "destination filespec"

You can rename a file with:
RENAME "old filespec" TO "new name"

That's the "basics" that should get you started.
