Galway Nature Preserve
I visited Galway Nature Preserve this morning, where I finally heard Ruby-Crowned Kinglets (FOS for me). For most of my walk, it was very quiet, aside from the sounds of water running in the streams;

Showed up to Browns Beach at 310 pm and Alan's gulls were already gone! RB gulls are slowly petering out flying north along the river so I'll make an attempt at State Boat Launch.

Odd Sapsucker Plumage
I’ve had a female yellow bellied sapsucker on my property the last few days that has no red whatsoever on its head. Instead, the area that’s normally red is solid black. It’s jet black, too, not mousy

No destination this week: 4/15
Rain and 45 degrees - nope. At least a good soaking rain should provide stopover points for shorebirds which are beginning to touch down in our area - watch those wet fields! Better luck next week --
