Following up on Alan's report, Denise and I birded Round Lake Saturday afternoon from the state boat launch in Rt 9 and the Anthony Kill from Round Lake preserve on cr 67. While we didn't see eagles on the nest, there were 2 adults and 3 immatures flying around, osprey, turkey Vulture, tree swallows, and blackbirds and song sparrows feasting on the massive emergence of tiny winged insects, most likely midges, on the railing of the boardwalk at Round Lake Preserve! -Scott Stoner, Loudonville NY

Notable this morning - Osprey, eagle pair at nest and one immature fishing, estimated 400 common mergansers, 15 tree swallows.
