possible WF x Canada hybrid + lt duck - stillwater

at bunce lane now, Cathy and I have a goose that is largely an Anser type with orange legs, pale orange bill and grayish vermiculated pattern on back, but the face lacks the white at base of bill and has a clear Canada-type chin strap instead. would be easy to mistake for a WF if the head is tucked. will post photos later.
checked ferry drive first and found no geese, but one immature long-tailed duck associated with 1 pair of hooded mergs.

found a second bird on bunce that is likely a gwf, but sleeping posture showing no head or leg colors. white line along folded wing and somewhat smaller than most adjacent canadas.

greater WF goose continuing at stillwater this morning. it was swimming and then standing on the ice so more viewable than yesterday. scopable from blockhouse, but seems to favor the south end of the ice along bunce ln; closer views there.
-- did not see the odd branta x Anser hybrid
