I found 5 Northern Shovelers late this afternoon at Wager's Pond, thanks to a tip from James C. Wager's Pond is an inlet of the Mohawk River and can be viewed from Riverview Rd. near the intersection with Boyack Rd. in Halfmoon. I have yet to see a Northern Shoveler at Vischer Ferry Preserve this year but Wager's Pond is almost there.
