I checked this morning and didn't see the bird, but it was early in the day and there was a lot of traffic, so i couldn't stop and was birding at 55 mph.--

I saw a very similar Canada Goose on Columbia Co. Rt. 21 on a cornfield west of Kinderhook yesterday, about 4-4:30 pm. Has extra white on the face but is a good-sized C. Goose.

For what it's worth, Barnacle Geese are much smaller than Canada Geese - only slightly larger than a Cackling Goose - and their bodies are a frosty gray - especially on the back - not brown.
