Common Redpolls and Glaucous Gull
This last day of the year I added one last new bird to the 2020 list. That's a Glaucous Gull that I missed while looking at the Mohawk River at Crescent Power Plant but spotted in my photos later.

Red Crossbills - Madison Ave. Pinelands
I spent several hours at the Madison Ave. Pinelands (Albany Pine Bush) this morning in search of Crossbills. I heard some finch-like sounds flying overhead at least twice but couldn't see the birds.

Hey friends - Thursday doesn't look promising for finding a spot for good walking. Let's hope for better weather next week. Merry Christmas, and watch out for all that ice underfoot!
