Currently, 32 Pine Grosbeaks in the Crabapple Trees at the big white church on West Broadway, near intersection with Main St. (Rt 22) Salem, NY. They just arrived today. I've been checking all week.

Redpolls- Crescent Power
Just had about 30 Common Redpolls at Crescent Power Plant. Not much else interesting here or at Crescent Park but the lighting and rain sure doesn't help.

Re: Tree Swallows in Greenwich
Hi Scott, any chance you got photos? Any swallow this late is very unusual and it’s good to rule out some exotic possibilities.

Tree Swallows in Greenwich
I stumbled upon a group of 8 Tree Swallows this afternoon on McClay Road, roadside to a large field with Bluebird boxes about 1/2 mile west of Hartshorn Road. Kind of odd seeing them this time of year

I agree with Lindsey, there are no school functions on the weekend, so that should not be a problem for the school, the sheriff or the church.

Soooo...is the school a go on weekends, as there are probably no events or functions due to Covid, or just not worth risking that? It was quiet up there last weekend but I also know how things can

The man who lives in the home behind the church just told me he feels very uncomfortable with people taking photos in his backyard and asked me to leave.

Hey Thursday Birders! We'll be returning to winter hours as of this week - starting at 9:00am. I don't know how many walks we can get in this season, since our usual carpooling to the Grasslands etc
